With the launch of Digital India programme, the government is taking a big step forward to transform the country into a digitally empowered knowledge economy by ‘Transforming India into a Digitally Empowered Society and Knowledge based Economy’. With this initiative GIDC Degree Engineering College, Abrama also arranged a wide range of activities to raise awareness about the Government’s E-services for universal digitization and digital equity. The focus is on being transformative to realize this formula:IT (Indian Talent) + IT (Information Technology) = IT (India Tomorrow)Throughout the DIGITAL WEEK celebrations, students are invited to participate in the Various activities.As part of Digital India Celebrations, we allotted Digital locker ID to all the faculty members and final year students during 2nd to 7th July, 2015 On 4th July, 2015 Group of faculty members and students visit nearby high-secondaryschool to give awareness about Digitization in Technical Education and various E-services provided by the government. An awareness program was also arranged for college staff & students on 6th Jul 2015 as institute wants to mould the students into futuristic technocrats and to enable them to cope up with the upcoming technology challenges. We have also invited a guest speaker Mr.Bhautik Sheth, (Founder of iVIPANAN digital Marketing and Management Services) on the same day to share the knowledge on Digitization and Cyber Security
College also arranged Poster Presentation competition on DIGITAL INDIA on 6th July,2015. Best 3 groups were awarded with Certificate of Excellence.
All the co-ordinators supported the event with great enthusiasm which lead to the gain of digital awareness into all the staff members & students. By this successful celebration of digital week GIDC Degree Engineering has made a profound step towards digital India.
