Our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched the Digital India Week on 1st of July with a view to empower the people of the country through the Digital India Programme. Government of India has been under taking a series of initiatives for developing various applications and portals that would go a long way in making the lives of the citizens better. The Digital India Week aims at encouraging people’s involvement and creating awareness among them. Digital India has been envisioned as an ambitious umbrella programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
To strengthen the dream of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Shree Swami Atmanand Saraswati Institute of Technology, Surat has established Open Source Technology Club in our institute since 2012. The objective of this club is to provide training on various open source tools and technologies. The training material is prepared by Spoken Tutorial Project which is one of the leading and successful projects under NMEICT. This project is sponsored by MHRD, Govt of India and given to all through National Mission on Education through ICT.
We, at Shree Swami Atmanand Saraswati Institute of Technology, have celebrated “Digital India Week” by arranging video lecture on various services initiated by our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi like Digital Locker, E-hospital, National Scholarship Portal, Digitize India Platform, My Gov Mobile Application, Flexible Electronics and Internet of Things. Under this program, students and faculty members were also given information about how to use this services and benefits of all services.
