Ahmedabad: On 20th October 2015 at 11: 30 AM Venus Education Campus was dwell in with thunder of claps and Acclamation for future table tennis players from Venus International College of Technology and three of its sister concern institutes named Venus Institute of Design and Architecture, Venus Institute of Physiotherapy and Arihant School of Pharmacy. It was an immense pleasure of Institute to welcome two very young and dynamic national table tennis players. Yes, two national players Mr. Sumeet Tembe (Sardar Patel Award Winner, National Games Medallist-3 times, former no 1 player in Gujarat for 3 years, GTU Excellence Award winner) and Mr. Nilay Vyas (Table tennis Director, Ahmedabad Racquet Academy and Former No. 1 University Player) were guests of a friendly table tennis match played at Venus Education Campus. Mr. Nilay Vyas is representing India in Bulgaria in International Tournaments. Along with these two vigorous personalities, Vice chairman of Institutes Mr. Adi Jain was also there to accompany them.
Director of Venus Institute of Technology Dr. A. K. Chaturvedi and Academic Adviser Dr. Trivedi were endlessly praising and encouraging students to develop sportsman spirit in life. Prof. Jigar Pandya, Director, Venus Institute of Design and Architecture and Prof. Dr. Hiren Kadikar, Professor, Arihant school of pharmacy and bio-research institute were also there to encourage students towards sports and explained importance of sports in academics.
More than 200 Students were started gathering in a sports room for table tennis tournament as a part of ARA-TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT – 2015 which is going to be held on 23rd to 25th October under direction of Ahmedabad Table Tennis Association Ad-Hoc committee. Students were in room to cheer their friends and faculty members playing match. It was a friendly match between students of different discipline of engineering. Charm of a match was not less than any final match of Cricket. It was a great pleasure to watch a match between two of the best national table tennis players. They showed few technique to play table tennis commendably.
